Yexza y Pablo son viejos conocidos. Llevan colaborando juntos en proyectos, grabaciones y grupos de diversa índole desde hace diez años. En el caso de Yexza como voz principal, corista, teclista, compositora o flautista. En el de Pablo como flautista, guitarrista, cantante, compositor, letrista o productor. Desde el disco Camino de Yexza (2017, canción latinoamericana), al primer EP del dueto "Reflejo" presentados en festivales nacionales como el MMVV (2020), Festival Canarias Jazz & Más (2021), Ciclo Mundos del Auditorio Alfredo Kraus (2022), así como en festivales internacionales como el Hong Kong Arts Fest (Hong Kong, 2019) y el Festival Internacional ‘Llegando a Montevideo’ (Uruguay, 2019) hasta el proyecto solista de Pablo (Country/Rock), pasando por Black Flower (Avant-Dark Pop) a Unmute (Drone/Free Impro), desde el Black Metal al Jazz o la música clásica, la creatividad y apertura de miras son su razón de ser.

 

Como Ese Mar es el disco que captura la quintaesencia del dúo, y donde las composiciones propias desde el prisma de la canción de autor plasman el universo sonoro y las personalidades de ambos. En un momento en el que la celeridad está a la orden del día, este disco se ha cocido a fuego lento durante más de 4 años, cuidando cada detalle de forma minuciosa.

 

Después de estrenar el single "Secuaz" con la colaboración del  pianista Marco Mezquida, el disco cuenta con la participación de dos de los músicos más destacados de la escena latinoamericana, Seba Ramírez (batería y percusión), y Chino Corvalàn (Bajo), así como del imprescindible Dani Campos (Rhodes, Hammond y Sintetizadores). Producido por Pablo, grabado y mezclado por Adrià Serrano y masterizado por Marc Parrot, el disco se estrena en Septiembre junto con el nuevo show L’esbarzer de l’alba’ en el Mercat de Música Viva de Vic, así como en el Teatro Leal de Tenerife.

 

En vivo, Yexza y Pablo nos ofrecen a dúo un concierto seductor e intimista que nos lleva por un viaje interior, emocional y sugerente protagonizado por la delicada unión de sus voces, la belleza de sus canciones y el singular, virtuoso y creativo talento de ambos.

Yexza and Pablo are long-time collaborators. They have been working together on projects, recordings, and groups of various kinds for over ten years. Yexza's involvement ranges from lead vocals, backing vocals, keyboards, composing, and flute playing, while Pablo contributes as a flutist, guitarist, singer, composer, lyricist, or producer.

 

From Yexza's album Camino (2017, Latin American song) to the first EP of the duo Reflejo, presented at national festivals such as MMVV (2020), Festival Canarias Jazz & Más (2021), Cicle Mundos at the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium (2022), as well as at international festivals such as the Hong Kong Arts Fest (Hong Kong, 2019) and ‘Llegando a Montevideo’ (Uruguay, 2019), to Pablo's solo project (Country/Rock), through Black Flower (Avant-Dark Pop) and Unmute (Drone/Free Impro), from Black Metal to Jazz or classical music, creativity and open-mindedness are their raison d'être.

 

Como Ese Mar is the album that captures the quintessence of the duo, where original compositions from the singer-songwriter perspective reflect the sound universe and personalities of both artists. At a time when speed is the order of the day, this album has been slowly cooked over more than 4 years, with meticulous attention to every detail.
