Después de haber girado juntos con el trabajo discográfico anterior de Yexza ("Camino", 2017) y con su primer EP como dúo 'Reflejo' (2021), presentado en festivales como el MMVV (2020), Festival Canarias Jazz & Más (2021), Ciclo Mundos de la Auditorio Alfredo Kraus (2022), así como en festivales internacionales como el Hong Kong Arts Fest (Hong Kong, 2019) y el Festival Internacional ‘Llegando a Montevideo’ (Uruguay, 2019), ambos con una sólida trayectoria como solistas y como sideman/sidewoman, Yexza Lara y Pablo Selnik unen sus fuerzas creativas en una nueva obra llena de lírica y elegancia: "Como Ese Mar", que será publicado bajo el sello discográfico catalán Microscopi en otoño  de 2024.

 

Una producción intimista de Pablo y Yexza, que resulta en un sonido a caballo entre la crudeza acústica y la orfebrería sonora pop, e integra influencias latinoamericanas (desde Silvio Rodríguez hasta Djavan, Pedro Aznar o Luis Alberto Spinetta) con ambientes más modernos que evocan a The Dø o Keziah Jones.

 

"Como Ese Mar" alude al universo creativo en el que se orquestaron las canciones que lo componen y a la trascendencia simbólica de sus letras: el mar de dudas cotidianas en el que todos navegamos con las eternas preguntas que forman parte del misterio y la belleza de nuestra existencia. Yexza y Pablo comparten su propio vivir y sentir de forma elegante, poética y surrealista a la vez que concreta y precisa.
